In today’s tutorial I’m going to show you how to change the color of your subject with just a few simple steps. This works great on vehicles, canoes or anything with reflections or details.
To start with, I retrieved a picture off of: http://sportscars.clubsportiva.com/2008/05/my-take-porsche-911-c4s-vs-cayman-s.html
On the right you see our original yellow car. After our steps you will have a newly painted car
Step 1: Click the “quick mask” mode button and using your brush with black foreground start painting over all the colored areas of your car. Once you unselect the quick mask mode you will have your selection. (There are other ways of selecting, but this way works quite well. You may want to use the magic wand first, and then use quick mask to do some finishing touches.)

Step 2: While having your car selected goto Image –> Adjustments –> Hue/Saturation. Inside your window select the box that says “colorize”. From there move the sliders around to get different colors. That’s it! This is a simple way to change the color!
